Subjects of messages

Okay guys. Can we please change the subjects of what we're talking about to something more to what the message is actually about? The current trend seems to be about Forums VS. Email lists, so the next person should change the subject to that or something similar when sending a message about that topic. I haven't just noticed it, but I figured now would be the time to say something about it.

Well, you are in charge of the list, so we are obligated to follow your rules, but I respectfully disagree with you.

The discussion of forums and email lists is directly connected to the 6 dragons game, the subject of the message, as the administrators are trying to figure out what would be the most suitable form of communication.

Therefore, leaving the subject header intact would be ideal.

Either that, or perhaps add something to the subject specifying that it's about forums. For example:

6 Dragons Game, Forums and Lists

Or something like that would be appropriate. But, I disagree with changing the subject just because it's about forums, because all good muds have one.

I must also add one more thing.

Another reason that I disagree with your request.

When I respond to emails, I NEVER change the subject line.. I don't do it for anyone and I won't do it for you. So, if the thread is about something diff from the subject, I guess I won't reply.

If I took the time to change the subjects of every message I replied to it'd be a real pain in the butt and I can't be bothered. I have better things to do with my time.

Personally, I think it is up to the discussion starter to pick a suitable thread subject. So, if you're going to nit pick, make the thread starters change their subjects when applicable, not the people who reply to them.

I read a discussion, enter my response, hit send, and am on with my life. I don't even bother with the subject.

Lol we all get a little like that from time to time. It's no biggie at all. I've been known to nit pick on stupid stuff myself so don't worry about it at all, hehe. I just like being a part of the list and finding cool muds to play. BTW 6D is a good one! I just wish there were more players.
