Well the thing to remember there is watch out at all times. You need to
raise your skills for peer and peek I think it is. It is a nice mud
though not my type of mud anymore. It gets boring for me personally but
it is nice.

Please Attend!

Hello all,

I have been trying it out today and I have already died twice. I died
once trying to get to the cemetery to drop off a dead body and once
trying to do the quest to become a black down mercenary. I dont even
know what really killed me. Anyone got any tips on what I should be
doing? I also notice most players are in Johanusberg, or however you
spell it. Are there many players in the other kingdom?

Thanks,

Greg Wocher

Please Attend!

Maiden Desmodus is moving out of beta to a full release this month!

To celebrate we're organising a special event in game to take place on
Friday 8th January at 4pm PST – 7pm EST – Midnight GMT. As well as the
event there will also be contests and prizes throughout the evening
including two very special prizes awarded to the winners of the jousting
and melee tournaments following the Commencement Day Parade through the
streets of Johannasburg.

We have greatly enjoyed seeing a number of you in the game during our
beta period, and would like to see you all back for the grand opening.
Events beginning at 7pm EST will start with a parade through the streets
of Johannasburg followed by a raffle for free karma, a song by the
beautiful Lady Gant, and then a special surprise. We will also be
holding an open (no skills required) jousting tournement and melee
tournament with additional raffles taking place each game hour through
the evening.

Some of the new features that have been implemented during beta testing
include:

Warfare system where you can command troops and battle for control of
The Isle.

Private estates and inn rooms that you can build with no admin
assistance.

Market system for player owned shops.

Repeatable and one-off quests.

Player cabals with fully customisable membership, rank and permission
systems.

Rumour system where NPCs will talk about your character to help you
weave your backstory.

Character histories so those wanting to know more about you can
reference your background.

Hirelings to accompany you on your adventures.

Crafting system with forging, goldsmithing, tailoring and carpentry, as
well as custom designs.

Many new areas, NPCs, items, quests and tasks.

Guild trials allowing for the advancement of your rank within your
chosen guild.

As always, Maiden Desmodus features:

Interactive NPCs that you can talk with, that each have their own
history and backstory.

A real-time non-spammy combat system where you control every strike,
block, parry, or action.

An immersive original game world spanning two warring kingdoms with
absolutely no room clones.

Nearly every object in the game can be manufactured by players using
combinations of labouring skills and tradeskills.

Detailed tasks that can be performed solo or while grouped with friends.

Description-driven characters that you will know by description, not
name, unless they introduce themselves to you

Instant access, no character applications or waiting period to begin
enjoying the game.

The best web-based MUD client out there with a graphical mapping system,
power meters, clickable icons, and MXP.

Detailed preferences allowing you to customise the game for format,
sounds, and more.

Blind-friendly design that can be customised for screen-readers used by
the vision impaired.

A player-driven economic system where you control it all from milking
cows and breeding horses to mining ores and refining metals.

An epic storyline that allows for players to become the key figures in
the story.

The perfect blend of Role-Play Intensive, Player vs. Player, and
Combat-Oriented design.

I hope to see you soon!
